Question by Happiest in the kitchen.: I have decided I want a meat grinder.?
Nothing fancy, but I want to make my own sausage that is lower in sodium and fat.

So I saw some at Cabellas for about is that a good starter meat grinder price?

Reasonable price for certain, but cannot comment on quality. Best thing I’ve ever owned in my kitchen is a KitchenAid stand mixer, although they are not inexpensive. I have the professional series, which has several attachments, but I believe the attachments can also be used on their smaller mixers.

I own and have used the meat grinding attachment, as well as the sausage stuffing attachment, and they work like a dream! My sister also makes her own sausage, and has the same machine as I do (gifts from the Momma!).

Sausage is quite an undertaking in itself, and I am not sure I would ever have attempted it using any other machine, but I certainly have never been disappointed in anything purchased from Cabellas!
